Ugh I wouldn’t want that man around any orphans. He doesn’t have any compassion or empathy in him and might make their life worse. The families change of heart doesn’t ring authentic to me though. Just cause she left for a while they are all sorry? Minus the dad of course. People who are in the habit of abusing others or mistreating them don’t change like that. The only one I feel is more believable is the stepbrother who likely didn’t fully understand his actions or how hurt she was by it since he’s immature still. The stepmom knew what she was doing was god awful and the other brother abandoned her. I’m glad they didn’t stop the investigation and at least she’s trying to honor the character she gave an awful life because she didn’t know what true happiness was or how to write a child growing up in a good environment. That’s sad and even if the dad’s a sick I think the charity work will help everyone else
