Diana’s proved herself morally bankrupt, if not a murderer. Emil and Xavier aren’t above home invasion. The Marquis and Emil have both employed slander/libel, and Xavier has no problem with assault if not battery. The mother–kind of isn’t even in the picture.
In a patriarchal society, what’s a little domestic kidnapping and imprisonment? If a father is legally allowed to expel his daughter to her probable death, why can’t he legally hold her against her will?
