She was sent to a battle, wasn’t given enough troops on purpose. Told the salves in the area if they helped her fight, they would be freed, which went against the state religion. So she’s being punished for blasphemy. She’s being exiled to a country the conquered recently, but the country is still mad at them, and she can’t return to her home country till she proves a myth is real. So basically can never return.
