It’s not the dye washed out because of liquid, it turned black because it’s a truth potion and her original hair color is black. And her boss is saying “her hair turned black” not him being surprised he is just trying to prove the potion is working to calix because he knew it is indeed originally black. It is kinda weird but I don’t think author is just lost and throwing crap together. What happened makes sense in the situation, was it the cleverest choice to reveal? That is up to each reader.

😮💨😮💨😮💨 Seriously??? So the author decided to have a small amount of liquid touch her hair and that can just wash it all out???. Plus her boss already knew she had black hair, she only dyed it only when the ml showed up. I seriously think the author had no actual idea of how to keep the story going. So now their throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks.
