She’s pushing him away because she won’t be able to inherit Lombardi if she becomes the Empress. She knows he’ll be the emperor and she won’t give up her family.
I think shes pushing him away bc in the original timeline he fell in love with someone else so she doesn’t want to stop them from being tg even tho she likes him
They can just make a baby, wipe the royal family, then put that baby as the emperor/empress. then the couple can play “I am your matriarch” every day at home.
