For people calling FL dumb: Do y’all know how difficult it can be to actually pick up on abuse? Hell, if FL normalized what she thought was a good friendship with Elizabeth, who basically was the only person outside her family who interacted with her in her previous life while she was busy studying, then it makes sense she wouldn’t see the red flags.
Besides, do y’all have zero sense of dramatic tension? Or know what a Conflict is and how it drives the plot?
