I’m with you Shoemilk. My issue with that however is that it’s only been shown/mentioned once, and there didn’t appear to be that long left like 2 months maybe. After she treated her sister that way it never said she received another package from them.

@Melbelwel I am also hoping for that scenario, that the emperor is just coward and stupid for marrying them both. Like to dwindle down the power of the grand duchy, he thought of marrying the grand duke to a non-powerful/non-magic person so that they can’t amass more power.

It might be because she’s an embarrassment, a disgrace, seen as a failure because she can’t use much magic. Basically I think he did it to try and humiliate the Duke. I could be wrong of course.
