In the first timeline Alexandro dont have any romatic feelings towards that b*tch wanna be Saintess(the true Saintess killed by the priest coz she refused to be a puppet for his evil plan).This dude fell from their evil scheme …he got infected by the love potion thats why his acting lovey dovey with that b*tch..Meanwhile in the 2nd timeline,useless to use the love potion coz its not gonna be effective coz ML already fell in love to FL.

a little glad this is finally becoming interesting. i wonder if the MC is like, somehow the true transmigator/saintess and her soul left the original body when she was captured. it’s confirmed they extracted saintess memory to plant into the fake saintess, but they didn’t say anything about the soul so what if that soul was alive and went to another body instead. for the record i didnt read the novel so it’s nice to speculate
