   tbh I think his split personality existed before the hero died because of the dream. he was on the battlefield (not on the demons’ side) and we could see the other ‘person’ (or version) of him. so ye

   So is it all because of the heroes wish for him to survive! And the amnesia/personality change is for the sake of protecting him!
   I’m really interested in finding out the whole truth!
