I don’t feel sad for the redhead. She’s a murderer in her last life, and if things had gone her way she would be a murderer again in this life.
But this whole demon king thing just seems thrown in to extend the story and justify why that stupid empress behaved so stupidly.
This author is a real amateur. She has this villain punished so harshly hoping the readers will forget that a bunch of people treated MC badly. The duke, his son, the maids at the duke’s place, the maids at the palace, that count who didn’t believe her and showed open hostility to her on her first day in the palace. There were so many people deserving of punishment but the author probably literally forgot about them.
Also I didn’t say it before but the security in this palace dungeon is weak af. How the f*ck did that old fart duke Humphrey get in the dungeon so easily? He is old so he’s probably not nimble. He didn’t say he bribed a guard. He just said he walked past. Bad writing again.

…this was actually kinda sad. And you know what? Imagine if this turns a whole new tide if the original Carina returns to the body and is all “oh shit i became the villainess about to be executed wdid?” only for Rossette to help save her and the two to be bffs or whatever. I hope it doesn’t, but at the same time it would be a better leading plot then just fake-Carina going on in denial…

Damn, still don’t feel sorry for her, that was a half ass apology ‘i know she’ll still forgive me anyway’ cmon thats kinda expecting her to forgive you no matter what.
