That’s the problem with these manhwas, character irrationality for the sake of “interesting content” This director isn’t on top, and I don’t know if you know how positions work, but that director had nothing to lose by supporting the main character; that is, he had more to lose than to gain. He lost his reputation in the eyes of the main character (a capable man) who he himself admitted by saying that he is capable of rising to the position of CEO
