Idiotic, but cliche. If she’s not gonna force her back then she should’ve stalled for a month or two. Then viola would truly get to experience the life of her wish before dumber decisions… Although I’ll pity the guy for having to take care for her and that their relationship may be in ruins

While I agree with y’ll that there were better ways to solve their problem, you have to understand that this would necessitate they to open up about their feelings to MC which would be super risk(in the sister’s eyes) and too embarrassing(in the butler’s perspective). Plus the more elegant solutions were pretty much taken off the table by their little stunt, plus given how popular she is in noble circles and how antiquate their mother view on things is, I doubt that they could have implemented them that smoothly.

There’s a lot of ways to make their elopement like something managing a business, recuperating for health, wanting to travel the world, study, visiting a relatives etc

Easy answer, send the attendant off to manage a merchant branch in another country, and sister off either to “study abroad” or “for health reasons” quietly with him until everyone forgets she exists. They can marry, have a decent income, and nobody is the wiser.

Aw I can feel viola is sincere about what she feels and on the other hand I can see that adette being an older sister is just worried but still she still choose what makes viola happy.. I just hope everything will be okay for them, it’s just that duke saying things like that makes me feel sorry for adette too.
