I agree with kimchireader on this one. I also believe her father never cheated on her mom. Personally, I think the head maid, & supposed mistress, is delusional and crazy. I think the dad took pitty on her unfortunate situation when he heard she was unmarried and pregnant and accepted her into the household as a maid, but she went nutso and delusionaly got it in her mind that “that could have been my husband if the father took responsibility for the baby…” and reiterated that mantra to herself over and over until it became something like “he should be my husband and take responsibility for the baby”. And she brainwashed herself into believing he was the baby’s father, and the child was his illegitimate daughter. I think that is possible and maybe even probable. At least, I would like to believe in his faithfulness to his wife, based on how much he seemed to truly love her.

🔽maybe she has a plan? Idk, she might be stronger now that she’s self-aware and has trust issues like all of us now. 🥴 It’ll probably take some time, cuz i don’t think that was enough shock to have a full-on badass transformation like in other stories. If you want stories like that, read/watch 12 kingdoms and Yona of the Dawn.
