I’m guessing the Duke hid his identity or something and since no one had seen his face there’s no way she would know, plus it’s not like she really had any choice so what would have been the point in telling her his name.

Wouldn’t she have been told by her uncle the name of her intended? I hate when these stories pull this type of crap. I know it ruins the surprise, but it’s stupid to think that they wouldn’t already have informed her. It makes the fl look stupid to be willing to marry any joesomo off the stree.
