Well the mom is VERY mentally unstable so putting her kid in foster care or to someone else may not even cross her mind, since the mom is going through a lot of things as well and she has no space or emotional space to think of what to do but to only let off her anger or emotions onto something or someone else

I really don’t get it… if you can’t take care of your kid or know you have issues, why don’t you just put them in the care of someone else or an institution ? I know foster care is like the lottery but you are intentionally ruining her life and wellbeing and no amount of your own trauma is gonna make up for this.

Dunno what line of work she has but I think the mother is severely abused at work and uses the daughter as an outlet since she is powerless against anyone else, which is just as bad, but it’s clear she has her own massive issues that she can’t even properly cope with. I pity the fl for struggling and living such a life, not only being abused by her mother but also being abused and shamed by outsiders, let’s hope she can break free from the hell she has to go through soon
