Helena was never after anything at first. She was just a girl who loved, was naive, kind, and timid, she was essentially a doormat. But as the story progressed, she developed as a character. Her personality became more firm, and she became more determined. Because she is married to the emperor, she is empress, and she understands that with this position, comes responsibility, and everything in her character progression led to this point. There was a whole thing where eris would tutor her to become empress.

Out of everyone in this story, (besides Eris) I love Helena the most ❤

That was unexpected but I’m happy all the like 5 characters in this ENTIRE world that ARE NOT PSYCHOS ended up happy? I guess happy feels weird to say but satisfied?
Also I love that we doomed the prince to live the same life as his father, Jason the same as Eris and the high priest…..eh he’s just insane but he’s unhappy so I’m good with it

Helena was naive and longer for a better life. She didn’t hurt anyone, it was the opposite she want people to be happy but in the end she learned how she was being used. The 3 morons now suffer. The priest will be hunted for the rest of his life as a useless that cannot save anyone. The warrior will live eternal life knowing that no one will remember him and the emperor who wanted to be loved will live a life of lonliness.
