To everyone who is saying its “gross” to be jealous of a child, try falling in love with the perfect woman, then you will undersatnd. Also, if he was jealous of Hirua, he would not have done all what he just did. He just wants more attention from the woman he likes. What is wrong with that? Also, it is a bit annoying for him that everything abould Lilia is about and for Hirua. When he talks about the garden, she talks about a swing. When he gets excited about building a swing for his wife, she drops a bomb saying it is for her son. What can you expect? That guy is human too. He must be feeling ultra frustrated by Lilia’s infatuation with Hirua, but despite that, he never showed any of it to Hirua and just treated Hirua like his own son. That is a truly commendable character in my opinion.
