Also, I wish she would’ve answered with something witty like “I’ll let my husband, the Duke of Taran, know about your intentions…”, or “Hello, I’m the Duchess of Taran, and you are?”.
And why is she acting flustered and shy…
Man, both Lucia and Maxi (from Under the Oak Tree) have me frustrated with their lack of character growth (in terms of of self-esteem, speaking up and standing up for themselves). They have a strong character moment, but then revert back into their shell for like 15 chapters. 🙄
Their saving grace is that they are not stupid like the FL from “The mistress runs away” (in terms of their actions).

It’s a minor detail, but it irks me that instead of holding her hand and leading her away, he is instead, draggin her away by her wrist like a child. It doesn’t help that with the new art and her character proportions, she literally looks like a prepubecent child or one that just started puberty…I know she’s young, but dear lord.
