Wait What
justreadinalong is probably correct concerning most authors’ standpoints.
From the character’s standpoint, cleaving to the original plot protects what is often their one great advantage in these novel/game transmigration stories: limited omniscience.
I’m ~75% sure that the novel/game transmigration trope has its roots in the kind of RPG where players are encouraged to vicariously inhabit a protagonist, who is more of an ‘avatar’ than a ‘character’.
Like an Official Player’s Guide, the transmigrated protagonist’s foreknowledge of all the pertinent details is an [priceless tool—that is, until their actions…er, cause so much effect that the ‘game programming’ no longer matches the ‘guide’.
I like it when authors are savvy enough to address the protagonist’s discomfort with how their influence has changed the plot, and how that discomfort stems from their dependence on a tool that is becoming increasingly unreliable—even when the original plot was so dangerous for their ‘avatar’ that they sought to tweak the plot in the first place. I like it even better when they have their ‘smart’ characters face this dilemma, and then start acting like real strategists instead of lazy gamers (no, I’m not casting aspersions on gamers—*I’m* a lazy gamer. I’m not above googling a walkthrough when I get stuck—I just think it’s the wrong attitude to apply to a character who finds theirself in a life-or-death situation.)
But as justreadinalong says, this kind of meta is usually just rather sloppy framing on the authors’ part, when it could be so much more.

She’s a real fujoshi isn’t she 🤣🤣
. .
i also don’t really understand it but probably beacuse they are biased towards the main couple, so cause they like them so much they try to make them happy

In this case, the FL loves the story and doesn’t want it to change too much. So that’s why she’s obsessed with the plot. As for other stories? Because doing the same thing as everyone else is 1) easy and 2) guaranteed some level of success (as it’s worked before).

I ask that every time I read one of these

Why are MC’s always so obsessed with original plot? Why does she care about relationship between those two when she could just worry about her own life
