The art for this novel in this manhwa is awesome, I love the art style and I don’t want to comment on it.
But, I don’t understand why they changed the story line so far. As a reader of the novel, there are a lot of details that are missing from the novel for whatever reason.
For one, the reason why our MC can behave like this and what the original purpose was. In the novel, for this part, it has actually been explained from the beginning of Ian’s purpose.
The goal is to go to the Imperial Palace and go to the place previously told by Naum.
Then there are details that I think are important, but not done in this manhwa. One of them is the conversation between Ian and Morlin and his subordinates. In the novel, Derga gave Ian a brooch so that he could track and know what kind of conversations Ian and the others were having. When they discuss tax, they use a way to write on paper so that Derga doesn’t know.
The discussion between them was not as easy as it was in this manhwa. Not to mention, Ian had talked to the countess first so that he could change rooms and also have breakfast with them.
As for his meeting with Beric here. In the novel, Ian said that he was sick, making him not go outside the room that day. Their conversation took place in the room and Beric accidentally smashed Ian’s desk because he was too excited about his powers.

You guys have gold fish memory. If you paid attention he did tell his goal. He said he’s going to destroy the counts family to take over and make his position stronger by having the barbarians backing him up so he’s stable enough to then go to the imperial place library to figure out why he was sent so back and what his homie meant by saying everything has a purpose.
