From spoilers i read the ML is Alexander aka fl’s dad. They ARE NOT biologically RELATED. The story goes that in their previous lifes Alexander and Canna (fl) were lovers but Canna always ended up dead so he would turn back time. If i understood correctly apparently he made deal with somebody that she would survive if she’s happy or something like that i’m not sure, either way he sacrificed himself and died a lot of times to make sure she survives. But people WHO read novel say that Alexander is the Best ML she could choose.

So the novel paints a much nastier picture with her brothers. The first brother it is described as he used to kick her over and over again. While the second brother beat her often. Not only that the second brother while in the basement just had thoughts of hitting her and beating her almost immediately but afraid to do so, trying to convince himself to do it and questioning why he couldn’t, why he was afraid too. The manga makes it seem it he wasn’t going to hit her until that last moment, but he planned to harm her from the start and just finally managed to work up the courage to do so. It made you wonder why he was scared with her new found confidence.
