I created an account to comment just how ridiculous the whole “the church is evil” trope is. Like, this is the most overplayed, overdone, cliche trope there is. I honestly can’t recall a single manwha where the church was on the side of good like they’re meant to be. Even in the manga I’ve read it only happened a handful of times.
IRL witchhunts were shunned by the church because they were all “witches don’t exist”. It was only the superstitious commonfolk who pursued witches and they were punished if someone died as a result.
