Those readers who are cursing the FL as selfish doesn’t know real love. Atleast they don’t understand this story is for sure. The FL is ready to sacrifice all her live and happiness just to meet her daughter again. How can you call her selfish! She wanted to act on her love because she got a 2nd chance !! But her love for her daughter is lot more than her lovelife. If she just jumps the ship back to Duke Sagna again that would be her character flaw !!
If you don’t understand these deep feeling and u want to the story to go back to the two being loved dovey in 3 chapters then you better drop this series. Deep emotions like these are not your cup of tea !!

I didn’t read ahead but understand this from the hints.
SPOILER ***The pregnancy is probably from Baron Hadley, the husband from her previous life, and a “mistress” or something of “low” standing. We can already guess it from the chapter where Lihen bring her maid for an ab*rti*n to the wizards. And she witnessed Baron Hadley’s mother leaving with a potion. Plus, in Lihen’s flashbacks the Baron’s sister mentions the he used to love someone very dearly before meeting Lihen.*** SPOILER ENDS
Another point to remember, Lihen never considers HER own feelings. She always adjusts herself to others’ feelings. And after going back, she only allow herself to do very little changes. It’s not because she is shy, reserved or “frustrating”. NO. She is instead very determined and headstrong on meeting again her daughter.
She lovers her so much that she doesn’t want to exchange her happiness at the cost of her daughter’s life. Even if she has to go through her bad mariage, supporting mocking in-laws and an apathic husband. That’s a very VERY strong mindset. Unusual in manhwas but very representative of a mother’s sorrows and deep love.
