   I know the writer wants to portray the ml in the bad light which he is with no doubt but the fl is just too incompetent after 5 years and living her whole life in a noble household. Even if she never wore an extravagant dress she must know that every other noble wears it and will demean her if she doesn’t. Plus using a servant’s carriage. For god’s sake she is being ediotically oblivious. She is a pessimistic character who does nothing to improve but just complain
   That is what I think till now hopefully it gets better

   The husband is truly an idiot who treats her as if she were made of crystal.
   Also, the mother is clearly sabotaging her. She’s not beneath manipulation,as she has demonstrated in the past, and the ML is constantly listening to her.

   Cannot wait to get to the part when Mellie gives them the finger.
