Why all regretful ML always had self pity “what’s it’s mean to be you” probably has the best turn over ML in these cliche regretful ML stories he had reason but never used that to justify his actions, he had no self pity moment even like talking to himself and thinking how bad he had it which he he treat FL badly. He accepted himself as bad husband and agree to be separated the moment he found out he’s the main reason FL was I hurt rather than clinging to her and hurts her even more.

Overall he’s not perfect but at least there’s no self pity episode like this or like in “my beloved oppressor” both this and that ML were just self pitying themselves because they had hard time justify whatever they did to FL to the point they hallucinate talking to FL in their head and were like “just one more chance” bro so cringe why can’t they just face that they did wrong and say sorry without excuse after excuse.
