Well! Here is my new theory. The brother never existed in the first place. The last dragon to appear was probably the “good dragon” that the spirit king spoke of, and my guess is, Rudd is either his descendant, or his son. Why I am saying that the brother never existed in the first place is because, upto now, we only see the four main characters interact with Rudd. They even end up dying for Rudd, which is absurd, if he was such trash to begin with. I mean, none of them seemed to have died of obligation or duty. Every one of them died with the genuine intention of giving up their life in order for Rudd to live. That is the biggest mystery in the story. Only time will tell I guess.
