   This is actually kinda realistic for regression if you think about it—just because you knew what happened, doesn’t mean you can just waltz in and take the place of people who made things happen. She thought she can just bring a contract and expect the other party to sign. The Duke most likely had more connection and more bargaining chips offered. Not to mention the experience. lol lol lol this is how it’s supposed to be, unlike all the other regression stories where the lead just magically get all the accolades and wealth by stealing other people’s work. Gahaha
