Guys pls, he didn’t actually kill her. That was the future she read. That she will be killed by her father if things follow a certain path. Tho i admit the fact that it can happen in future is traumatizing and awful by itself.

now that i realized that this is a copycat “who made me a princess” i cant unsee it, he’s even wearing a robe-like outfit like the father from that story, and he even didn’t know how to hold his child, just like in that story, and he killed his daughter just like that king from that story. 😭

Damn some of these comments lack empathy for both the child & the emperor. Yeah he killed her in the past but I always believe in second chances, thats if you’re willing to repair the relationship. & so far he’s doing his best to do that considering that he’s an alcoholic & needs help.

Ughhh the emperor growing up in a cut throat, family, having his only beloved die from child birth, become an alcoholic and then learn his daughter was a fake and that his real daughter had grown up dirt poor because of a jealous maid is justtt pitiful 😔 it doesn’t excuse his actions. Especially his treatment of the FL but seeing him mend and actually begin a good relationship with his fake daughter gives me mixed feelings. Really wish he had given the fake daughter a chance the first timee

I like the way they’re setting this. It is so very clear that the queen was the love of his life, and while I do think it’s impossible to switch a baby IN THE IMPERIAL PALACE? It’s clear that he’s an alcoholic, and that this is collateral. He killed his child because it continued to hurt the one who resembled his love. Its fairly obvious that he’s not just, but broken, with a harsh background he’s also struggling to empathise, leading me to the belief that he has such a adverse apathy problem that he can’t see anything wrong with death unless it was his love.
