Agreed with all those who say that it makes sense for her to believe the Emperor would kill her, like the prophecy book. Nothing from his side would imply otherwise as far as Philomel believes. As for Naras, why would she think he loves her when the beginning proved he did not? He himself said he had been hiding it and didn’t realize until recently.
She has no reason to believe he won’t fall for the real daughter anytime soon. Especially when both of them have not built a relationship yet, and the real daughter just came back.
