I have a few theories… One is likely a probability, let’s see…
It’s likely an alternate universe type plot that they’re going with.
Either with the og FL writing that diary before dying, and magically the book turned back in time with the power of “god”.
Or
The og elincia was the one who sent the book, or at least tinkered with the book, she likely noticed it and taken interest in it.
Or
The FL’s dad found out about the diary, and decided to give his own daughter a chance at life again.
All would have explained why the book couldn’t be destroyed

Philomel isn’t a regressor, she didn’t go back in time. When she was a wee child she found the book with the whole plot of “Princess Elincia” and what was going to happen to her. At first she didn’t believe it but later she started studying the book and making plans. She is not a regressor, or isekai’d but I didn’t tear the book to the end, so jury’s still out to if she’s the soul of original fl. I believe she isn’t, but there’s so much mysteries as to how she even got the book in the first place
Omg so a body swap!? Maybe FL was og in past life and their bodies switched, or we have a regressor AND transmigrator.
I hope it’s the ladder bc I love magician family too much for them to be not truly related, but it would make sense. Since FL bio mom was a b*tch, so her real daughter could also be one that’s even worse and would go as far as to kill her mom that failed the goal to be next emporer.
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a decent comic with both isekai character and regressor. IF that is the case here. Usually FL is regressor and antagonist is a dumb narcissist that thinks the world revolves around her, but both know the future and how to manipulate it. Hw, FL knows the world better and has stronger plot armor. This one is intriguing like how wmmap past was. There was an old manhua I read years ago that had both FL and ML as both types, but it was kind of a let down bc ML didn’t know the og enough anyways and maybe thought she was a regressor, too so the reveal wasn’t that much of a shock since, “well I went back in time, so it’s possible a ho from anotha world also came here”
how the hell does this woman still got the ring? guess that the imperial family don’t care much about it since it is easy to retrieve after a quick investigation
