@GodEater most probably is. He is Mori’s sponsor. He is a celestial being, a seraphim, named Miria. Mori’s mother is most probably a human woman, possibly of very high standing. Since the series’ lore states that humans are a mutations of the first Terrans that occured after the Terrans left the Earth to explore space; Mori’s mother could most probably be one of those first Terrans or maybe a descendant of the first Terrans.
