For those who didn’t notice based on the previous chapter and this chapter the FL apparently has an incurable disease and her pregnancy has made it worse. The ML has clearly shown that he was likely searching for a cure for her disease by obtaining the spell book which meant he had to listening to the rumoured affair partner. Surprisingly this is the only redeemable ML because he actually has a legit reason as to why he kept it a secret considering she just used her powers to make him forget everything about her. he likely believed she would have done the same knowing she was dying and unlike now where she is actually searching for him she likely would have disappeared to die alone
