@Iouhoo1 She’s planning on killing herself on her wedding night to bring the most shame to her family. Plus she’s been abused her whole life, they explained it earlier with the allegory about the beast being shackled actually. Also don’t put modern woman power thoughts into a medieval noble princess’ mind. There is no girl power or womens rights.

She literally was planning to kill herself in the first chapter to escape this world and punish her family. It makes absolutely no sense at all that she would still be going along with all this and listening to them and trying to please them. Just run away! Or better yet make a scene to ruin all their plans and then run away.
