I totally understand her situation. In a family that no one stands up for you, a controlling parents and a abusing sibling. You’ll eventually become weak minded and will lose all motivation to speak for yourself because they all contradicts your opinions.

I feel like people are literally forgetting that she literally said she is putting up with the family’s bullshit so that she can fuck them over by killing herself right after her wedding because it’s like super shameful for a royal family member to commit suicide. She also said she’s doing all this shit in a long roundabout way because she doesn’t want her people to be affected too much. That’s also why she is fighting so hard to have good relations with the foreign king. She doesn’t want innocent people to die in war. Brainwashed or not, oppressed or not…her holier-than-thou attitude is not something anyone should tolerate on the get-go. Guys for this that may still didn’t dig in psychology, she behave like this because she has a very strong trauma and depression. Is Not logical because she is broken to that point, no matter how smart you may be you can be caught in this Not even knowing. What’s even harder to break free is that she was rised like this, as a child your brain is still growing so this enviroment make a lot of domage. IT may seem stupid and you may think you will behave diffrently but this is miscoception on your part. You can’t predict how will you become in her place. You may Wish but is more complicated , on some things you have no control since they are engrave in your body genetics. And yeah hoi can call it a curse since curses exist to this day it just have nothing to do with magic , IS more about psychology and the weaker your self confidence to more effect it may have on you.
