For those who are curious, Emperor Rochlaim is not angry, he is scared. He is scared that if he starts to love his daughter, some sort of tragedy will befall her, just like what happened with his wife. He loves his daughter so much that he is distancing him from his daughter to keep her out of harm’s way. The only issue is that the curse spoke about those who are loved by the Conquerer King, not those who are close to the Conqurer King. SO in theory, even if he distances himself from his daughter, as longs as he loves her, she is an object of the curse. The only way for his wife and daughter to be free from their suffering is for him to stop loving them, which is practically impossible to do.
