DeluluLand and DarkdraxH20, it’s honestly wild to watch you both spiral over a fictional plot that you’re acting like has personally wronged you. It’s almost like you’re invested in the MC’s journey more than the author ever intended, but instead of enjoying it, you’re busy throwing a tantrum because it doesn’t meet your very specific, very unreasonable expectations.
DeluluLand, you’re really out here just nodding along with the whole “It’s all about the King,” but that’s what makes it interesting. You might not get it, but it’s called plot development. The King’s involvement adds depth, conflict, and tension. But you’re acting like it’s the most criminal thing in the world for a character to have help.
And then DarkdraxH20, you’re out here throwing around words like “pawn” as if the MC is some helpless tool, but here’s the thing: every character, at some point in a story, is either a pawn or a player. That’s what makes the narrative work! The whole point of the MC’s journey is to break free of these constraints, but if you’re so obsessed with him getting a contract without outside help, maybe you’re missing the point of the entire series—it’s about his growth and overcoming obstacles, not about being some untouchable hero from the get-go.
But hey, if you’re so over it, you’re more than welcome to “fuck off” as you put it. There are plenty of other series out there where you can get your wish for a perfect, god-tier MC with zero help from anyone. Or, you know, just keep shouting into the void about how much you hate something while continuing to give it attention. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
