Shiennie, I don’t see it that way. Let’s calm down. You don’t need to get all defensive and offended, the fl is a fictional character and you’re actually the ones affected by the other person’s comment. You and Chaymsi started the argument by insulting a real living person over someone who doesn’t even exist! It is not reasonable or right, and lets stop the name calling…
If you don’t like someone’s opinion, you don’t need to pick a fight, ignore it and go on with your day/night, this applies to RL too. 👍

What’s the problem wich people nowadays to call someone ridiculous, pitiful and pointless because of a manhwa review? Did the other person do something to you in RL? Lots of hate and sense o superiority in those comments (Chaymsi’s too)… You shouldn’t continue harassing people, the other person was only commenting about the story, not name calling your mom, let’s keep the peace and order here!

@Shiennie At no point did I speak directly to any of you here in my first comment in which I criticized FL’s actions. You are the ones who came to dictate what I should write or feel about this story, I only responded directly after being provoked. And I criticized the author of the story when I said what I thought was bad in the story in another comment, so I was discussing the work as a whole, this session is called “Manga Discussion” in case you haven’t noticed, but since you want to have the last word, you can go ahead, it won’t change anything in my day.

@Shiennie I only need to work 2 days a week and I live comfortably, so I have plenty of time to do whatever I want, sorry not sorry. You who are upset because of an insignificant fictional character from a Korean web comic to the point of coming to attack me here thinking you have the right to say x or y about me, look for a psychologist, if you have the money to pay for one. You don’t pay my monthly bills, so if I want to spend all my day complaining here, you can’t do ANYTHING about it except bark, I’m not breaking any laws. I will continue to comment wherever I want. @Simpin Slut And if ML is such a piece of trash we all agree, why was FL’s father even using money to bribe the groom’s family? Couldn’t he see how toxic and bad ML would be for his daughter? I didn’t see anyone questioning the bride’s father and his intentions in marrying her to an idiot. Was he not the wise and skillful merchant? Nothing makes sense here! With his disappearance, I start to suspect her father…

@Simpin Slut I also think she is not obligated to stay with him or “be forced to be his personal therapist” and I agree with other things you said. Therapy would be a great solution -for the couple or just for ML- but I doubt there is anything like that here, seeing as it is based in a medieval world, at least I don’t think there is anything that close to modern medicine, even more so when it comes to mental health treatment… I think it’s a plot flaw on the author’s part, FL’s inconsistency irritates me. She is presented as a woman capable of dealing with the intrigues of the nobility, gossip and provocations of other women and the perfect woman for the position of wife of the ML blah blah, but she is incapable of expressing herself accurately to a defective ML full of problems and somewhat toxic which she loves and waits for. Her father disappears at sea and she doesn’t think about the consequences of her actions (what is acceptable to some extent), but this kind of negates the story’s entire previous claim about her competence and ability when they make her walk around in circles without solving anything by herself with the ML helping/saving her behind the scenes with damage control and money, but even so she dismisses these small acts of his and has already decided that he doesn’t give a damn about her, which may or may not be true, they never talk properly and she acts as if she were a mere visitor in the house where she lives, but she was already sleeping with ML even before the wedding in the house (which is absurd at the time) and taking contraceptives for who knows how long… FL wasn’t that unhappy with ML before her father disappeared. If no one can see the problem here, I can’t do anything about this and it’s the author’s problem not mine. ML is an idiot from the beginning and remains consistent with what was established, so I don’t write about him every chapter because it would be redundancy at this point to criticize him for something he’s been doing since the first chapter, which is being an asshole, but there are people who think they have the right to call me a “pick me girl” as if they knew something about me just from a few comments on an illegal scanning site. The problem is this stupid drama so that in the end she ends up with the same guy that she says she got tired of… another story with wasted potential to romanticize this type of relationship. And if “she is naturally drawn to green flag men”, Why the hell did she agree to get engaged to the guy? It’s not like he played her and changed his personality overnight; she thought he would change after getting married (as far as I can remember), which is her fault.

@Higanbana I kind of agree with your last comment. Oof, even I forget it’s all just a story half the time. But, tbf even though FL is a fictional character you do seem to attack her a lot like how you feel them 2 other users “attacked” you…. 💀.
Where I’ll lose everyone in a long rant:
I might seem like a girl’s girl sometimes, but I only side with whomever fits my Simpin standards✨️💅. Mostly characters who align closest with my morals. Besides hotness alone (unless I’m down bad lol)🔥. We see everything from a FL’s pov compared to the ML’s so we’re more likely to take the side of whomever is the MC. (Unless they’re written in a bad way on purpose). Idk if it’s just plain old sexism (still deep rooted in Asian culture), but these stories seem to really rely on using men’s weaponized incompetence (like that “male instacart shopper” drama) and manipulation/gaslighting/guilt tripping BS. FLs are not always 100% innocent, but ML’s usually take things too far over simple crap. “He doesn’t know any better” isn’t an excuse. They KNOW what their doing and just pretend they don’t as a way to control their partners. I mean come on, it’s the golden rule. This ML wouldn’t tolerate being locked up in a room, so why should she?
I think both are STUPID, but I think ML has a few extra points than FL tho. He’s the one with daddy issues not her. ML don’t tell her sh*t, so FL has every right to do it back. Although, I understand hiding some secrets to protect her, knowing how’d she react or mess up their entire operation. Like “Babe, I love you, but you’re too much of a liability. I’ll let you in on everything after it’s all over so just plz play along for now”. 😂

@Higanbana idk I think bc FL had a normal childhood, she is naturally drawn to green flag men since her father was a good role model. It makes her kind of ignorant, but it shouldn’t be such a bad thing. Since no one should have go through trauma themselves just to understand their partner’s trauma. She shouldn’t be forced to be his personal therapist, he should see one 1st alone, then her to open her pov, and then they should both go as a couple. (But this is fantasy and it needs this drama to carry the story grrr 😅)

@Chaymsi and @Rabinrt, you two didn’t need to agree with MY opinion, I don’t need your approval and I don’t give a damn about YOUR opinion, this is a comment session and I’m expressing mine without attacking any of you, so don’t come attacking me just because you don’t agree with someone, I know that the anonymity of the internet gives the impression that you can do whatever you want, but real life isn’t like that. I’m not breaking any rules here and if you don’t like what I write in MY comment, don’t read it and ignore it, it’s better for your health. Look for something more productive to do instead of getting together in a group to criticize me for expressing what I thought of a chapter of a manhwa.

She had a normal childhood and a loving father, I don’t know why this idiot FL has so much difficulty saying in words what she wants! Like: “Look man, I don’t like that you did/do this or that”, the emotionally constipated one with incompetent parents is the ML, he didn’t have a normal childhood and from what I understand his parents alienated him from an early age!
She wants a guy with no common sense of social and emotional interaction, who follows customs and rules to the letter, to be sensitive to her desires and emotions without her clearly communicating them to him. She expects him to guess and act according to what she wants. I’m sorry girl, but communication is the key to any social interaction. If your boyfriend can’t understand some things that you think he should understand naturally as a human being, you have to give him a hand and help him get there. If she doesn’t have the patience and willingness to help him, she should stop playing the disappointed one and leave without playing the victim, because the fault of the couple not being able to understand each other is not only his, she is never clear with him!
This could all have been avoided if she had told him that she wanted him present at her father’s private funeral and that his presence or absence would have consequences for their future as a couple! It wasn’t that difficult to give him such an ultimatum and make him understand the importance of her last request. The author didn’t make her do this simple thing just to create unnecessary drama and create an excuse for her to leave him. There were smarter ways to cause the breakup of the relationship…
