When your dad dies it’s kinda the time you are allowed to be sad and want some form of affection and comfort from the person you’re almost married to. She knows he doesn’t love her but thought they could at least grow closer through marriage.

Why the hell was she shocked when she heard him call her a “convenient woman”? Wasn’t their marriage of convenience to begin with? Is she an idiot? She thought he wanted to be with her for another reason, but what would that be? She did absolutely NOTHING but feel sorry for herself and complain, I didn’t see her being useful even while locked inside the house and the only time she went out to try to do something, she only managed to get hurt by an angry sailor’s mother, such is her incompetence!
ML is very rational and practical and apparently he cares about her, but for some reason he doesn’t want to see or can’t see it yet. Regardless of everything, I wouldn’t sell a valuable possession of mine to pay the debt of someone who isn’t even married to me yet just because she is convenient…
