Honestly, her downfall start when she start screwing around on someone else life. The drop of oil to muddy water start with the maid. If she just enjoy being the empress without care in the world, she would definitely happy but her ego and greed start to bite her ass so hard she cant sit still. Her being empress mistake weight heavily on that retard but then everything start on her.

Just to answer why you’re feeling miserable – you started everything. You, were jealous of Navier because you didn’t get to live a “beautiful” life like she did. You, were so dumb that you didn’t even considered how a life of a ruler is like; the possibility of being assassinated, humiliated, betrayed, manipulated, and to serve the nation- as an empress you must sacrifice yourself for your nation just like Navier did- I’m sure her childhood must have been tough since she was expected to be the future empress.
Another reason was that, you don’t know your own place, climb your way up- by stealing the life of a person, dug your own grave, and now- we are awaiting as you suffer from your ridiculous actions.
I do not sympathise with you just because of the saying that “everyone does mistakes” because that only refers to people who have done mistakes in their past and REPENTS on it. Just because you’ve lived a miserable life doesn’t mean that you have to drag others down with you.
Stop blaming others for your stupidity it’s your own fault- you even killed (probably) a loyal maid of yours just because you “thought” that she was planning to hurt you but didn’t even checked whether that is true.
It might be ironic but i love you as one of the antagonists of this manhwa. You’re such a masterpiece that is meant to be hated- that even i cannot deduce how i could sympathise or pity you.
It’s just that you probably can’t learn how to accept the harsh reality of being alive in this world.

Honestly I have missed feelings for it Trashta, she grew up the way she did before of her environment. I believe her ruined mentality is also a product of the bad environment she grew up in. And I really have same thoughts as @Xianli. I’m quite sure she’d have turned out better if her environment was different.
Let’s call Trashta’s husband, the emperor EP. Cuz I can’t remember his name.
As I told earlier, Trashta is a product of being in bad environment. I can’t say it’s her fault. Hence in my opinion, EP is the one at fault. EP is the one who who deserves the worst It was his fault for cheating on FL. If he had not been swayed by Trashta, and had been a loyal husband, I think Trashta would have been able to choose another path which might have led to her having a better ending. So in my opinion, EP is the one at fault. He grew up in good environment and I don’t think anything has happened with him which could have pressured him to cheat on FL. EP is the one at fault and should be burned in hell for eternity.

Agreed with raichu and bear. Rashta’s actions aren’t justified but I understand why she went down this path. She’s a tragic villain and a product of her environment. She’s unforgivable but I can’t help but wonder how she would have turned out if the nobles and imperials didn’t endorse slavery and oppression.

I agree with Bearaffiliate, her life was unfortunate. Rashta shouldn’t have had to go through that, no one should. But girl, why did u have to aim for empress by stealing it from someone who actually was kind to you? That’s where the line is. So can Rashta be both a sympathetic and unsympathetic character? Yes.

To play devil’s advocate for rashta, I do feel bad for her for her upbringing. She’s clever but she’s so easily manipulated by the men around her, her story would’ve ended after rumors of her being a slave came out. But Ergy just pulled on her strings to make her an actual threat but in the end, she’s just a puppet who got all tangled up and twisted in this story. Like, it’s genuinely sad how she went from a naive girl who didn’t know anything to attempting to murder her own father
