I am a brother with an older sister, and I agree with his actions. If someone talked about my sister like that, and I was a noble living in a feudal society, I would drag him to my basement and torture him for months and leave his wounds untreated so he body can rot and he would die of sepsis.
To be honest, I have beaten people unconscious when they tried to make passes at my sister, so taking a life for her sake would be a very easy thing for me.
