@Iwillfallwiththeemperor during the Feudal Era, the Aristocracy held absolute power and the Peasents who worked for nobles were not considered humans, they were considered objects owned by the said noble. So, if the Duke had a child with a maid, it means he owns both the mother and the son. Both mother and son are not entitled to even some basic rights because the mother happens to be the employee of the Duke. Unless circumstances dictate otherwise, the bastard son will grow up to work as a servant in the Duke’s house, or if he is lucky, he will be able to escape the house and become a Mercenary. Anything beyond that is impossible under normal conditions. If by some luck, all of the heirs of the Duke happen to get wiped out, then the bastard child has a chance of inheriting the title, but that too is highly unlikely given the rigidity of aristocratic society. Usually when that happens, the monarch confiscates the land and then provides a part of it, or the total of it, to a newly appointed noble. That being said, the illegitimate child being the newly appointed noble is very likely since he has noble blood in him.

Not that the boy asked to be acknowledged at least make it that servant won’t ridicul the mother and son and at least keep them away from harm from your main family

I don’t get people or fathers nowadays, so they are blaming the boy of being a mistress child instead of the father who was at fault, the mother was a maid I don’t know how it happened but they slept together and gave birth to a child if you are supposed to blame it’s the father and the mother, now the mother don’t have power to protect the son what about the father, I’m always upset about this things now he have mana, the father wants to recognize him
