I hate and love this work. The two leads are pragmatic, no over the top hysterics or constant crying. I hate that I find myself thinking this is a normal corporate romance story, but then remember what the MLs plans are (even if he says he’s started to fall for her and his plans have changed), I just keep waiting for the other shoe to drop…
Waiting for it to be completely reveled how the FLs dad was involved in the MLs tragedy…
Waiting for the FL find out about the MLs motives for approaching her…
Waiting for some b*tch (who is in love with ML, but ML has never given her attention) that has history with ML, to show up and interfere…
Waiting for the obvious 2nd ML (her former boss and friend) to also get involved or find out first about the MLs true or original intentions with the FL…
I am truly curious to see how the author is going to play out the story and plot: will it be dragged to the very end (then we’ll get some quick resolution, their marriage and have a flash forward to them having kids, like so many other stories have done) or will they be happening soon, and the rest of the story will focus on everyone trying to move forward after all of the revelations; will the author attempt a plot twist by saying “eh you both got played, the real culprit was…”, etc.
The story has the potential to be very good, but it could also fall to the stereotypical trope of some Korean/Chinese/Japanese novels: try to be 20 different genres and lose the whole plot, or turn into a magical girl story (kid you not, this is a thing, just out of nowhere…), or it gets dragged on and on that one forgets what the story is about (have around 20+ stories that have fallen into this category, I’m to the point where I just want them to finish).
