Yeah you’re an autonomous being. You didn’t make another decision for them. That blame falls on them and should stay with them in the grave. I know it’s not a law in the US, but if it is one in South Korea, that’s needs to be change. The world is already stressful with enough challenges without being burdened with someone else’s problem you didn’t cause.

Heads up for anyone in the US, you literally CANNOT inherit debt from a family member.
(Ofc this is a manhwa based in Korea so the rules are different, but as someone who sees scams like this and people fall for it cause they don’t know their rights, just sending a reminder into the void here that it’s literally illegal here. Ask for verification of debt, and if/when they can’t prove it, tell them to get lost.)

IDK about Laws of other country, but no one should shoulder a dead family member’s debt. If that dead one had properties it was automatical payment for the debt
