I hate it when maids or servants in these stories just willy nilly bring in anything someone sends as a “gift”. Idgaf if they check it for magic or poison bc there’s always a loophole. Like IRL if you go to ER bc you think your drink was spiked, the tests they do can only detect the most popular and common ones not the newer and less detectable kind.
