The answer to her question was pretty easy (but I guess only to the readers since she’s not fully in the loop of things happening). The crown princess died to get to the meeting between the west and the crown prince, so naturally the crown prince wouldn’t want to help the people who he thought was responsible for his wife’s death. Followed by the fact that at that time the ML is probably on probation for letting the crown princess die. That means that even if he wanted to offer help he wouldn’t be able to, also there’s a chance that there was a strain in the relationship between the crown prince and the ML…. But the FL doesn’t know that she saved the prince and crown princess while they were on their wait to a secret meeting :3
