…Look, I get it, kinda. I understand that she felt wronged by how she had been essentially kept as a pet and wasn’t actually treated like a true daughter, but still. She has to understand that the society they live in wouldn’t just allow her mother to treat her as her real daughter, so she couldn’t introduce her into the social world normally. But even still, she was truly loved as a daughter by her and she knows it.
This though? Theres a limit to how much greed she can have. If she asked for something, I don’t doubt the duchess would have gotten it for her, but this is something else. Her mother would not just give her the son in him whom she thought was looked at as a sibling. Ew.

Idk if she was fully adopted at a young age, she should of been treated like a biological daughter. I think she was adopted at a later age and does not have her name in the duke family’s registry. She’s treated more like a distant niece or a pet. She didn’t receive a proper education on how to be a lady.
If you were thrown into a wealthy life, it would suck to give it all up. Would the granny here support her if she married a noble and not a commoner? If FL switched places with her, she would be thankful for the experience growing up in a noble household. Call it greedy, but if you grow up surrounded by wealth odds are you want it to stay that way. Not fully defending her, a lot of this is well-deserved karma.
I mean who wants to work just survive, when you can make money 💰 from simply having a title?
