I blame the king for all this, if he hadn’t been so wicked, the queen would not have sheltered Alfonso so much that he cannot recognize what happening around him or even act like a king.
Also I don’t see how cesare would be a better king than the ml, if he was able to treat the fl that badly in her past life , then he could treat any one anyhow, he would be a jealous tyrant with mommy and daddy issues.

It’s so sad to see the people in the comments wanting Alfonso to die. Have you guys never heard of character development before? Just give this boy some time, when he is finally out of his comfort zone and in the enemy territory. He will learn a lot of things here to develop his mentality and learn a lot of things about the world outside his palace comfort. This is how all of us develop and mature with time. By observing and undergoing hardships that life brings.

Alfonso is so gonna get assassinated his loyal knight got tortured for nothing. His naivety is going to cost him his life. I don’t think he is bad just blind. I think if you threw him in with the commoners for a few weeks or months as a lesson he would turn out to be a great ruler. I don’t think Cesare as king would be any better, but at least he is weary and knows how to beat nobles at their own game.
