for all the people who think Cesare would be a good ruler… if you lived under Cesare all he would care about is furthering his own riches, getting the prettiest women, and having it all. Alphonso isn’t perfect, but in previous chapters he had an idea to further his own country into developing gunpowder for themselves so they don’t have to rely on Gallico. And in order to protect the peace of his country, he went to Gallico and endured humiliation. Do you really think Cesare would be as calm as Alphonso in this situation? He’d be whining and complaining. Cesare doesn’t care about anyone but himself.

@Dark Angel Nah. Caesar is too stupid to deal with his own problems, let alone the problems regarding Alphonso or the kingdom. Bit from here on out, he will definitely gain a high status and a place in riyal family

I genuinely consider King Leo de Carlo III to be a Grade S moron. The man has proven consistently that he can barely see beyond his own nose. To use a chess metaphor, he’s singlehandedly put his whole country in check. It’s not checkmate yet, but the way out is considerably more costly than just not falling for this obvious trap in the first place. The fact that the Etruscan Kingdom is still around is nothing short of a miracle. At least we know where Alphonso gets his shortsightedness & Caesar gets his greed.

Okay but Alphonso really needs to step up. He needs to find a way to protect himself without relying on his mother’s help. Now that the Queen is dead, no one can protect him. Even the things Ariadne can do is limited. He needs to vreate a strong backing for himself. Just the title Prince won’t do anything.

I get that Alphonso is better than Cesare in ruling throne but at this point, I fear that neither brothers are worthy.
Alphonso has proven over and over again that he has no mind for politics and no future plans for helping his kingdom in any way.
On the other hand, while Cesare is greedy and was a HORRIBLE husband to Ariadne, at least he knew how to keep his empire running. He keeps himself up to date on matters concerning his kingdom and knows how to handle the situation despite his limited resources compared to Alphonso.
In all honesty…….. I’m surprised how Alphonso has survived this long at all, given his lack of brain cells.
I propose Rapheal to be the true ML please!!
