@minz_minnie I totally agree also we can’t forget that Cesare is doing this as a way to get at Alfonso, watch me steal your girl kind of way, which shows that he hasn’t changed whatsoever, he’s being charming to meet the end of his plan and when he gets it he’s on to the next one but he doesn’t know that the fl is aware of his personality and his wickedness so he just sees her as playing hard to get which makes him want her even more. He’s charming I’ll give him that but still a snake.

Cesare is not wrong, but I think the dark side of Alfonso is his lust and greed for fl. he always held back with her. I don’t like cesare tbh. And ml is actually trying to get out of this engagement and find a better way for his country to thrive, just needs time to achieve it.
Fl is nice but don’t forget she is not innocent either, and she knows cesare but still let herself be swept by him…

Okay try to imagine that alfonso’s fiancée is the main character for a moment, couldn’t we all agree that he is kinda of a bastard?, he literally has a mistress and treats her bad and doesn’t even have a good reason for it like I get that he doesn’t like her and all . But he should have called off the engagement before it even started or he should be fully committed too it. He is the crown prince for gods sake if he can’t take the responsibility than quit and give it too Cesare

Even if we imagine the foreign woman as the MC then she still comes off as unhinged. Her and Alfonso are NOT officially engaged, they’re merely having engagement talks while she visits. Also he was nothing but polite to her but she went all doki doki on him within the first TEN MINUTES of their first meeting cuz he gave her ONE (1) compliment. Then when he pointed out a blatant lie she told to bolster herself she went nuts, screamed at him, and then ran off; leaving him super confused and having to find her.
She’s acting like they’re already married and frankly it’s creepy. Alfonso is right to feel off put by her. The modern day version of her would be a girl planning your wedding after one or two dates. Also she literally THREATENED the safety of his country if he didn’t behave how she wanted him to and he RIGHTFULLY snapped at her that she was NOT his king nor did she hold any authority over him to be making such threats. Not to mention how RUDE she’s been basically her whole visit. From wanting to trade messages back and forth all day (despite him being a prince and having shit to do!), to getting mad when he wouldn’t spend every day with her (again, dude basically has a life/job besides her sorry), and then straight up barging into his bedroom!! I’d have torn her a new one for that myself!
Only reason he hasn’t told her to kick rocks yet is because of his abusive dad! Guy has a volatile temper he seems to take out on Alfonso’s mom so the prince has to navigate this all carefully for his and his mother’s sake. But he’s trying, though dude’s stuck in the most awkward position ever so far. Cut him some slack.
