I love this story 💖. In most stories, the ml will save the fl without actually getting hurt. However in this one, the ml actually gets hurt (so sorry Al 😢) in more ways than one, and you see his pain so clearly illustrated (points 🌟 to the artist), but he’s still protecting Ari. Also by this happening, Ari finally realises that people can care and love someone, even though it seems that they are not gaining anything from this sacrificial act of kindness. Like the saying goes, “no good deed gets unpunished”. Honestly, can’t wait for Ari’s character development from this 😁😁😁!

I like this, Ari is a person who has never, ever once had someone on her side, and has never seen kindness or selflessness. She doesn’t know what it looks like to be sacrificial without 3 different angles. She is finally seeing that, and I hope it pushes her towards healing and becoming a better person herself
